Harvest Home

Every year in July since the 1800s, Yellow Frame has celebrated Harvest Home, usually on the last Saturday of the month. Church members work hard to prepare and serve a sumptuous buffet of home-cooked favorites which include turkey, ham, local corn, a variety of vegetables and delicious desserts. The buffet is followed by an auction of variety of items and services donated by friends and local businesses. The auction is fun-filled and lively.

'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' - Matthew 22:37

Special Events

With its very long history, Yellow Frame is steeped in traditions that include perennial special fund-raising events. These are times when the congregation comes together in a true team effort to make it happen, and the events draw community members from far and wide.

Santa
Homecoming

Every June we have our Homecoming celebration service where we invite former pastors and members. The service is
traditionally held in tandem with Children’s Day, when graduates are honored and the Sunday School students are involved in the service. A church picnic is held afterward. Homecoming is another longstanding tradition, dating back over 70 years.
Holiday Home Tour

The first Saturday in December Yellow Frame hosts its annual Holiday Home Tour. Owners of local homes with historical and/or architectural interest open their homes to us for a holiday showcase. In conjunction a luncheon and “Santa’s Gourmet Shop” are held at the church. Like Harvest Home, this event takes many people working together to make it happen. Friendships are often begun and renewed as we work together on these fund raisers. We also have a number of members who discovered Yellow Frame through one of these events.
